Nestled in the picturesque setting of Kalamaki, South of Heraklion Prefecture, our complex is a harmonious blend of 4 distinct houses – “Louiza”, “Levanta”, “Skinos”, and “Iviskos”. Each home is a testament to our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for a diverse array of guests, including small or large families, friends, and couples. Our communal spaces, featuring a swimming pool, barbecue, and wood oven, are designed to foster shared moments and memories.
Our garden is a lush sanctuary, shaded by grand trees that offer cool dew in the mornings, interspersed with vibrant herb and flowering plants that fill the air with fragrant aromas. The Houmeli complex embodies an ethos of environmental respect and sustainability, creating an ambiance that is rich in color, aroma, balance, and serenity.
Located 70km from Heraklion Airport and Port, our haven in Kalamaki is positioned amidst a tranquil and natural setting that boasts stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The beauty of our location is enhanced by its proximity to the beach and main square, just a 10-15 minute walk away, making it an ideal spot for families (including those with babies) and ensuring that your holiday will be nothing short of wonderful.
From May 1 to October 30, guests are invited to indulge in the pleasures of our recently refurbished communal swimming pool or find solace under the shade of our garden’s majestic trees. Kalamaki itself is a burgeoning tourist resort, cherished for its beautiful beach and rich history, possibly housing an ancient port. The area’s unique flora and fauna, including centuries-old cedars, seafood, aromatic herbs, and the rare sand lilies, contribute to its charm. Moreover, it serves as a nesting ground for the endangered Caretta turtles, with local efforts aimed at conserving this precious species.
